Plaid has been a trend popping up a lot recently, and I am particularly becoming very fond of it. Right now, I am wanting a plaid skirt of some sort so I can channel my inner Cher from Clueless. But my never ending wish list is not the topic of this post.
For this outfit, I started off with these new black jeans by Joe's Jeans, which are lacquered to look almost like leather. You can never go wrong with black jeans and I am currently loving this take on such a staple item. I paired the pants with a basic black chiffon tee I found at Nordstrom Rack. To incorporate the plaid, I tied a flannel around my waist. Funny thing is, I remember always scolding my mom for rocking this look, but now I love tying a plaid or denim shirt around my waist to spice up a basic outfit. Next, I would love to talk about these booties. Besides my Jeffrey Cambell booties, I have been living in these Sam Edelman basics for the past couple months. These booties seem to go with just about everything and they are currently my most comfortable shoes right now.
My friend Danica and I went to see the film Her this day, and I would just like to proclaim my love for that movie right now. It is now one of my favorite movies---it was shot and written so beautifully, and it definitely makes you think.
Thank you to Danica for photographing. Here is the link to her youtube channel!
